PRE-DEPARTURE Session: Here is a extensive list of things you will be advised at CAN Consulting after you have secured your visa to abroad:
- In Nepal: Flight booking, Accommodation arrangement in the destination country.
- Keep these Documents secure: Offer letter, fee receipt, Study visa, Financial document, Support letter from college

- Expectation at the Port of Entry to destination country: interview about your college, programs, financial etc. Which college/university or program are you coming for? Why did you choose this Institution? Who is supporting your education? How will you be covering your tuition fees and living expenses? What are you planning to do after study?
- Documents you should have at the port of entry: OL, Fee paid receipt, Vaccine card, Class registration/enrollment records, bank balance (may be)
- When you arrive in destination country like: Canada, USA, UK, AUSTRALIA; you’ll meet immigration officer who will make sure you meet some basic requirements to enter that country making sure you have: a valid travel document, such as a passport, visa, copy of a valid letter of acceptance from your school, have letters of reference or any other documents the visa office told you to bring. Be able to show have enough money for your stay (the amount you will need can vary—it depends on things such as how long you will stay, and whether you will stay in a hotel, or with friends or relatives). Be in good health. Have no criminal or immigration-related convictions
- Convince the immigration officer that you have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets or family—that will take you back to your home country or you will leave destination country at the end of your study.
- Packing up your suitcase: Clothings and accessories for all seasons, few stationery, laptop and basic education supplies, basic medications.
- While in Destination Country (Canada, USA, UK, Australia): Use Airport pickup and arrival services. Confirm Accommodation. Visit College, Meet orientation dates, Arrive on time for your program start. Open Bank account, Get Cell phone/Sim card. Get SIN number. . Get used to around your locality like grocery places, bus routes etc. Use references and resources for part time jobs. Attain regular classes. maintain Good grades and keep your student status maintained.
